My wife and I had completed the eastbound half of a round trip from San Diego to Maine in our new Winnebago Class A motorhome and decided to have the chassis and coach serviced at Cusson Automotive. Cusson was called out on the Good Sam's data base as a service site with limited/emergency RV parking. It was on our planned route, appeared very RV friendly and savvy, and made a special effort to thank and welcome America's veterans - a combination that really appealed (we have 34 years of Naval service between us). Our experience at their considerable facility in South Windsor, CT eclipsed our expectations by far. We were personally welcomed by the owner, Don Cusson, and his son Jordan and the management team: Steve - business manager and Dan - shop manager; and assured that we could safely park on the secure premises for the weekend and they would fit us into Monday's schedule. After a restful weekend with electrical and water services available we welcomed our assigned technician, Dan, aboard Monday at 0730. With our worklist in hand and a test drive under his belt, Dan spent the entire day on the rig doing warranty servicing of the chassis and Onan generator and addressing a few coach 'bugs' as well. Thanks to Dan's thorough inspections, on and off the lift, we were spared likely problems down the road (a small hydraulics leak on a leveling jack, a cracked breather tube and a more serious leak of oil on the generator, et al.). All of the 'bugs' were repaired, i.e. a too short valve stem, broken seat swivel cable, and missing marker light lens, and Dan took the time to educate us on all affected systems and patiently answered all of our questions. When the invoice was prepared and typed up it was made very clear which of the items were likely warranty issues and it provided the gist for that discussion with our dealer back in California. The price/value for all of the work we had done was refreshingly fair, the work was done with great attention to detail, and we had been personally honored and thanked for our service. We'll be singing the praises of Cusson Automotive and Heavy Truck Services to the RV community, and would like to personally thank 'the crew': from Charlene in the front office to Steve and Dan for fitting us in and making sure we were comfortable and cared for, to Dan for all of his work, and to Don & Jordan Cusson for making their business and staff a "top notch" operation and welcoming us to avail ourselves of those accomplishments. As we would say in the Navy, a big "BRAVO ZULU" - congratulations for a job well done! Sincerely, Lance & Storm Jensen
Lance and Storm, Thanks for the nice words of confidence, We like to say that every customer deserves proper attention to their needs and concerns. Happy Holidays and safe travel Don Cusson
